Today's Scorched Key (June 28th) has been won.

Humfuzz was the winner of today's free Scorched Key.  He was the first to send us the correct 10 descrambled words plus the correct descrambled code word which was "Infernal Orchestrina".  Congratulations to Humfuzz for winning today's free Scorched Key and good luck to everyone tomorrow (new to this?  read this and this).  In short we are giving away a free Scorched Key every day until July 11th.

Also, the term "in play" means that something is happening now.  I'll use "code active" from now on to have less confusion.  More than a few of you sent me "in play" and your steam id.  I'm sure I'll get many "active" emails too!

The 10 words unscrambled were:

embers
kindle
inferno
bonfire
conflagration
combustion
blaze
flare
smoke
ignite

  5. I'm well too bad in english to be able to resolve this. Well, I found out all the words, but unscramble the result... Impossible, and in such short time... Winner made it in 20 minutes... Well, I have to wait for less english related task.

  7. Ooh, conflagration. Never heard of that word in my life. Oh well, I came here too late, but thanks to that word, I couldn't win this game. Still, I'm only searching them for fun now, seeing that I already got my recognition here ^_^

    Cheers to the winner!

Also: Anybody knows if I can craft a Liquidator's Lid with one of the new Sniper weapons?

    1. Actually, I had heard of conflagration, but had NO idea what it meant, so I had to look it up to see if it was fire related. IFY, it means an uncontrolled burning that threatens human life.

    2. Ah I see. Well, at least I know a new word now, even though I won't use it in my life that much haha!

Anyways, I'm not sure if I should open these new crates and just keep them in another account, seeing how they'll go up in value because they will be pretty much collector's items like the Nice/Naughty crates and Summer Cooler. Maybe I'll try my luck with one after I see what contents it has (thanks TF2wikiw!) though...

Also: read my first question that is still unanswered.

    3. As of yet, there is no information indicating that the Liquidator's Lid can be crafted with the new weapons, and only a few times in the past has this been possible, so I think it is rather unlikely. Obviously you can try it crafting some metal and a new sniper weapon, but there are no assurances as to what will happen.

  8. I was so close! I had all words except infernal orchestrina and I was just about to get that word too.

  9. Oh. Duh, because it was TWO words.

  10. Eric - just try. Use 4 refined + one of sniper weapons. If nothing will happen, then you can't.

    1. I only have 2, so I can't try that recipe out. That is why I'm asking that question which has already been answered. Much obliged Zanshin!

  11. LOL when unscrambling the code all I could come up with was "fire cannon heat riser". It does match, but it was obviously wrong.

  13. I actually take the trouble to stay up for today's key but I miss out all because I was pre-occupied for 10 minutes. Awesome. :(

  14. The original post said the code was a word, as in a single one. THAT'S NOT COOL MAN.
