Today's key (June 11th) has been won.

Breeze has won today's key.  He was the first to email us the correct code which was Claidheamh Mor, Candy Cane and Tribalman's Shiv.  The code was a blog post which was a quiz on three crafting recipes.  Probably the fastest way to answer would have been to go to the TF2 Official Wiki and look up an item from each crafting recipe.  On each item's page there is a recipe to craft it (if any) and other recipes the particular item is used in.

Congratulations to Breeze for his quick work and good luck to everyone for tomorrow's free key (contest details here).

  1. Aw man, I thought I had that.

    Oh well, nice job Breeze.

  2. I might get frowned upon by the Admin for saying this, but HOLY SHIT, HOW CAN PEOPLE BE THAT FAST?! D:

I literally saw and sent this the moment it was posted and folks already beat me to it? My God...

On the other hand, the fact that I typed the answers manually (even though I'm a BLAZING typer) might've been another factor. Oh well. Congratulations, I suppose :(

    1. I am amazed myself. Breeze was particularly fast tonight, as were many of you. I am going to have to make some of these harder!

    2. You use Random.org and generate a number from 1-10. 10 being hardest and 1 easiest of course! That way there would be variety in the codes.

Personally, I find these ones where you have to wait until the final hours of the day really hard. Not for the difficulty, but for being a true test of patience. Only the really patient win these ones!

  3. Someone followed you on this post as the name
"Thecodeis Buttface", so I sent that before it happened.
Then I sent you this, but i was only a minute or so late.
    I thought I had it :(

    1. Yes I removed the Google Followers widget because of that. Pretty sneaky little troll there, I must say.

    2. how many emails (besides mine) did you get that made you wonder why the hell everyone was sending you "Buttface"? XD

    4. AHAHA OH WOW XD

No wonder why you got 95 emails before you posted this quiz Admin. That is hilarious!

So I'm guessing you'll put that widget back when this madness ends?

    5. Well, I got 95 from the real code quiz. Probably got 5-10 from this before I spoiled the trolling fun.

Unless I can remove the name I'll have to wait until June is over, yes.

    6. Just to clarify, I sent the 11:56 message before your new post Admin. I didn't realize they were only 3~.

At any rate, it would've been hilarious that you received 95 emails with "buttface" before posting the real deal. I would certainly laugh out loud too. XD

    1. Not sure where you were, tonight I got about 95 emails before I posted that the key had been won. More than usual likely because people knew it had to be coming in the last hour of the day.

    2. Yeah, I'd like to know how many were before me, too. I sent my e-mail with the correct answers exactly three minutes after the blog post... I'm not defaming Breeze here, but how can you submit the answers that quick?

    3. Sorry I can't go through all the emails and tell you your place. I posted the code quiz and he sent it to me first. Maybe he's got a set of binoculars and is watching my monitor through a window!? Nah. He's just fast, as are quite a few of you.

  6. Welp, i also fell for that, better pay attention next time

  7. hey em i just wanted to ask... how exactly do we win? cuz on details it says to search for it and yet, looking at the posts, the last 2 were quizzes so... i'm kinda confused...

    1. Searching for it means to check the obvious first, such as a new blog post telling you how to win the key! Then if you don't see that, look around in the posts, on the page, in the spreadsheet.

    2. kk, but if it was a quiz would u post it at the begining, like right after 12, or at the very end, like the last one? cuz its kinda pointless to put the effort n search the whole page only to find out that its a quiz thats like at the end of the day...

    3. This is a daily, random contest. If you're here when the code is out great. If not then try the next day.

  9. I see you are mainly into US traffic, which is obviously more expensive.
But can you do some code posts taking into account european time?

    1. So where were you today, the 12th when I posted the key code at 9:30 EST (nice afternoonish time in Europe)?

  10. Yes, good time.
I didn't expect that, wasn't looking for it.
